La création de ZEROPOINT remonte à janvier 2006, où Yannick (guitare), Scafe (guitare/chant) et Aleks (batterie) décident de fonder un groupe aux influences typées Death mélo, Trash. Alors appelé "Vacuum", la formation se complète en juillet 2006, grâce a l'arrivé de valérie (chant) et Olivier (basse) ce qui a permis le début de concerts dans diverses salles Lyonnaises avec des groupes aussi bien régionaux que nationaux.

The creation of ZEROPOINT dates back to January 2006 when Yannick (guitar), Scafe (guitar/vocals) and Aleks (drums) decided to start a band influenced by melodic Death and Trash. Called "Vacuum" at the time, the band is completed in July 2006, thanks to the arrival of Valérie (vocals) and Olivier (bass), which allowed the band to start performing live in various halls with both regional and national bands.

Après quelques problèmes concernant le nom, le groupe décide de changer laissant "Vacuum" pour "ZEROPOINT" et sort ainsi son premier maxi 8 titres "Corrosive" en mars 2008 qui ne laissera pas indifférents les critiques de Webzines.

After some problems with their name, the members decided to change from “vacuum” to “ZEROPOINT” and published their first 8-track maxi called "Corrosive" in March 2008. It was favourably welcomed by webzines critiques.

Malheureusement, en juin 2008, Valerie quitte le groupe pour raisons professionnelles, et sera brièvement remplacée par Amandine, dont le groupe se séparera quelques mois plus tard!

Unfortunately, in June 2008, Valerie had to leave the band for professional reasons and was briefly replaced by Amandine, before she split off a few months later!

C’est après cette séparation que le groupe envisagera un tournant important puisqu'en octobre 2008 Scafe abandonne la guitare pour se consacrer uniquement au chant, et Romain (Narval & ex-Abstract Agony) devient le nouveau guitariste rythmique et complète ainsi le nouveau visage de Zeropoint.

It was after that separation that the group came to a major turning point, as in October 2008, Scafe l gave up the guitar to focus solely on vocals, and Romain (Narval & ex-Abstract Agony) became the new rhythm guitarist and thus completing the new face of "ZEROPOINT”.
